calcium that is useful to increase bone strength allegedly resulted in increased risk of heart attack. a study mentioned in middle-aged women who consume lots of calcium supplements were more at risk for heart attack and stroke. earlier, hundreds of middle-aged women are advised to consume calcium supplements to prevent oesteoporosis or thinning bones. but a team of researchers led by Professor Ian reid at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, said the practice should be reviewed because it can lead to heart attack more severe.
